After two or more years of trying to find someone to repair/replace our front steps - we were finally successful.  Firm Rock Construction did the steps May 14-16, 2024.  Great job guys!

D.J. Snelling installed new windows in the Manse, Sept. 11-14th.  Have reports that is is quieter in the house and helps with keeping the house cooler. Thanks D.J.!
Below - D.J. also sealed the crack between the sidewalk and the foundation of the Manse that was allowing water to come into the basement.

Blinds, Décor & More installing new blinds. We appreciate not having gaps where there was broken and missing slats.  It was a one day install on September 5th.

Summer 2022 - work at the church

TUCK POINTING ON THE CHURCH, CHIMNEY AND REPAIR WORK ON MANSE FRONT PORCH
Some of the work looked pretty scary and glad pros were doing it!  Also had a cap replaced by the main front steps. It is good to know that things are safe and beautiful once again.

After the workers all left - Raymond Heltenberg filled in the tracks left in the lawn with sand - one wheelbarrow load at a time.

The Windows Are Finally Complete-Thank You All!

Picture
The Church has original stained-glass windows in the west side of the sanctuary that are over 100 years old. Most of the panels are manufactured in sections which are glazed into wood frames. Some are glazed into metal frames which are in turn glazed into the wood structure.

The windows are beautifully designed and feature a variety of glass types and techniques. The glass itself is of the very best quality. To design and manufacture these windows at today’s prices would cost somewhere around $250,000, not including the cost of the frames.

Thanks to a wonderful, anonymous donor the balance of the amount to be repaid for the repair of the beautiful stained glass windows was donated. The funds were received on September 10, 2021.  On September 12, 2021 the windows were dedicated and a plaque was hung beside the windows marking the date and event. Isn't God's timing wonderful?

This person also donated enough to start repair work on the main front steps of the church.  Hopefully this process will begin in the spring.  As you can see the brick veneer is breaking up and coming off, which makes the steps unsafe and unattractive.
